Maybe ur idle gizmo is dead. When the car first starts up it idles high, but when it gets warmed up it idles lower, and ur car just idles so low that it dies. I'd get that checked out cos having a car stall a lot sure isnt good.

Same prob

I have the same problem, But my car seems to buckle, stumble from 1-2000 Rpms and after that runs fine. It only seems to be worst when I first press the gas, like if im flooding the car, but then runs perfectly fine, this actualy caused the engine to die a few times, especialy at a complete stop and go situation.

I have not figuired out the problem yet, but you might want to check:

IAC valve- Use throtle body cleaner
Spark- Check Distributer rotor and cap, and spark plugs, check Plug cables aswell
Fuel- With an OHM meter check the resistance on the injectors to make sure there
not faulty
TPS- Not sure if Camry has this but if it does check the throtle positioning sensor.

Sorry if this does not help, ive only had the camry a week and I dont know the engine to well, but that is what im going to do this MON and TUE.

Check your EGR valve. You say it happens when the car is warm- have you been driving over 40 mph? Usually it sticks at 40 mph...

Here's how to test it... take the tube off of the valve, plug it with a golf tee and get your car up above 40, and make sure your engine is warmed up. If it doenst stall or sputter-you found your problem!

I think you meant to say throttle body cleaner. Do not use brakeclean on internal parts of the throttle body. Use throttle body cleaner as someone mentioned or carb cleaner. Brakeclean is not designed to be oxygen sensor safe and it also will not burn inside the cylinders. It is designed to be nonflamable.

Brake cleaner will burn and it can kill O2 sensors also if you use to much it can damage the CAT
