Ok so i recently reinstalled my alarm and added the Horn and parking lights to it. I cut the horn wire and the parking lights and wired them up corrently and securly. At the same time i have not been driving my car as often so it spends 4 out of 7 days without ever being turned on.
Problem:
Everytime i step on the brake ALL the light up guages, headlights, neons, etc go dim for a spit second and then come back up.
Question:
1. Is this early signs of me having to replace/recharge my battery?
2. Is this becuase i added the parking light to the alarm and now its becoming loose?

I know as much as i didn't wire anything wrong b/c i sat down with then instructions at hand and went through each cable double checking the color to make sure that i cut the correct cable.
If i had wired it incorrectly then the lights nor the horn would have worked and the alarm brain would have fried.
Thats my $0.02
....
But im still going to take it to a shop to have it looked at
Mine does the dimming with the power windows and sometimes it will dim ever so slightly for a split second when I step on teh brakes. My corolla did it nad my Sienna does it. I have had other cars do it also. Maybe it was doing it before nad you jsut didnt notice it. The more you load the charging system with aftermarket accesories the more likely it is for something like this to happen. I dont think jsut adding the alarm and hooking it into the liths would cause the problem you are talking about so that is why I said maybe it was doing it before and now that you have added the alarm you think that has something to do with it.

It does it when the windows go up or down as well, as far as over load, i only have 2x9" neons and a 125WRMS amp running... Feel better that im not the only one experiencing this, when i get the problem solved I will post.
I guess its time to do the big 3 upgrade w/ some 1/0 guage wire (Its exsesive, but at least when I add my other mods, i will not have to worry about it) as well as some other grounding points.

I have explained this before. This power loss is due to extra load being put on the alternator when the accessory is activated which slows it down, it takes a second for the alternator to get back up to speed and output voltage to go back to normal. This is normal for all automotive alternators.
