Advice on intake and other mods

Hi all,

Kind of new to modding my car but it seems that aftermarket items are a rarity for my v6 3.0L '95 camry. Anyone know of good intakes or headers I can put in? I'm not looking for a fast car, just a more efficient one. Currently getting only about 20mpg on it.

Thanks for any help.

PS: If anyone know of guides out there that show you how to mod the camry, that would be greatly be appreciated also.

welcome to the world of expensive modding man!

as zeek said, most people have to go custom for most things for the v6 cams....more mods are available for the i4 (headers, turbo kits)...

start simple like a drop-in filter or a diy cai or something, and then move on to other stuff like exhaust systems....

but for real....in the end, you may as well concentrate on looks than speed, as unless you wanna spend some real $$$- the cam will never be fast....

get some nice rims and then think about body kits (if you like the look of them), and get a nice system...

but either way....have fun, and try not to spend every cent that you have!

PS. zeek is right- only headers available have to be custom....save your money!

You can also get a plasma booster that helps your ingnition. Adds a few hp, but mainly cleans up your power curve. You can also get a Weapon-r intake. Some people like them. some dont. They say it will add 10-15 hp because of there foam filter. i hope to get my hands on one and dyno.

Well, the project has come to a halt, litterally. the person testing and designing it went throught a large puddle and it seased the engine. We are looking into was to prevent this.

You could always get an iceman cold air intake for the celica gt. It works fine on the 5sfe but im not sure what model year celica the intake is for. Ask shawn, he has one.
