cd player and clock dash help

hey fellas! new to the boards here and have a question for you. ive got a 94 toyota camry and the clock and radio keep cutting out. the cd player is aftermarket and was installed at circuit city about 2 years ago. well lately the radio and clock keep cutting out at the same time. if you hit the top of the dash real hard they both kick back on but then right back off when you turn the car off and back on. any ideas fellas? any help is really appreciated!

sounds like a simple looks connection, .....time to pull the unit out and check the wires.

and when you say clock, you mean the radio's clock, the the car's clock?...same as above for the car's clock

They probably share the same constant +12 so maybe trace that wire and see what you come up with. Or maybe the fuse is loose.
