2nd Generation car wont start, hearing air through the lines...weird problem.

89 v6, 2VZFE.

to make things short, a guy tried to jump my car by using his battery to hook up to my leads. well, he hooked it up backwards

so, i ended up replacing the main 80amp alternator fuse coming off of the positive lead and a 7.5 amp fuse on the drivers side kick panel (still not sure what it was for but it was blown). anyways, i tested my battery and it's fine, connections are solid. when i turn the key the starter doesnt turn over. i dont hear the solenoid click either. but, i hear a rush of air through the lines. i remember taking the cap off of some line, and i pressed the little pin and all of this REALLY cold liquid sprayed on me. dont ask why i did that. anyways, i put the cap on, but im not sure if it's still leaking? the rush of air (maybe fuel?) sounds like its coming from around the fuel rail or intake manifold.

any suggestions guys? could i have fried some wires on my starter? is there another fuse i cant so easily identify? no CEL either... crap. why would the starter not turn over but i hear what sounds like a vaccuum leak?

thanks,
jon.

There is a good chance he may have fried the electrical system of your car.
Id try to run a diagnose to see if the ECU unit is still operative, if it is there
is still hope for your car running again.
But i have to ask. How on earth did he manage to do it wrong!?!?!?!
Positive on positive and negative on negative how hard can it be?!?!
Damn!

Might check to see if there are any fusible links that might be blown.

Are you getting voltage to the starter?
