USA Anyone know the correct timing mark?

I am replacing the timing belt, tensioners, and water pump. I have already put on a aftermarket water pump. I also wanted to replace the crankshaft and camshaft seal while I was in there. Here are my Q's.
1.How do the seals come out? Has anyone done this?
2.About installing the timing belt : I know the crankshaft mark has to be ligned up with the lower timing belt "0" mark buth the camshaft has several marks that make it difficult to be sure what the exact mark is. The manual is a little vague and I just want to be sure I have it right before i close her back up. If anyone could I.D. the correct mark that would be appreciated.
BTW I have a 95 2.2 I4
Thanks,

You want the hole on the camgear to line up with the notch on the bearing cap.

Make sure the notch/groove on the crank pulley is lined up with the "0" mark on the lower timing belt cover.

You can install the belt around the lower half and leave the top half (camgear) loose. Install the lower timing belt cover and crank pulley.

Line up the crank pulley + camgear, install the belt, install the tensioner + tighten the bolt.

Then rotate the crank clockwise from TDC to TDC (2 full revolutions (720 degrees)) and check the alignment of the crank and cam. Both the crank and cam should be lined up with the correct marks. If it doesn't line up correctly remove the belt, align the crank + cam, reinstall belt, and check again.

1. How do the seals come out? Has anyone done this?
You might be able to pry the cam seal out, I haven't tried prying it out.

The other way to do it is:

1. Unbolt the metal backing plate (the metal plate the upper timing belt cover bolts to).

2. Unbolt the bearing cap.

3. The cam seal goes around the camshaft. You can see it in the 1st pic above, its the black seal that goes around the camshaft.

Not sure how the crank seal (front main seal) comes out. I believe its part of the oil pump.

Theres also a manual stickied at the top of the Camry forum which you can download.

P.S. Please don't cross post. You posted the same thing in the hardcore tech forum.

you should be able to pop out the crank seal with a screw driver - just make sure not to scratch the crank. that would be a bad oops and cause your new seal to leak. wrap the tip of the screw driver with tape if you think it might scratch, thats what i did.

I personally discovered on my '94 an Oil Pump Seal leak and replaced that seal only. I had 200K on the 2.2 at that time. I bought a crank seal, but could not get it out, the oil pump is very large (the whole end of the block) and must be removed I think.
