Gen5 No Brainer Question on Install

i finally bought a strut tower bar. JDM. once i get up some more cash will replace with TRD. question is : any special technique to install the tower brace? looks simple enough. unscrew and set in place...screw back on. however, i thought i saw a post mentioning that the car had to be raised, or something to that nature, but logically, why would you want to raise a car and unscrew the nuts? laugh all you want. you all know i am a new jack...lol. once i hook up this ride i will start to show some mod pics.

Suggestions

Make sure you have a tight grip on the johnson bar before trying to fiddle around. In your case it might be hard to grab because of its size, but keep on trying for proper fit. Jon.

^haha
uh as far as improving handling on the camry a front strut tower brace won't do all that much besides stiffen things up on hard cornering. if you want to really improve your suspension go for a REAR SWAY bar may i suggest Whiteline or TRD. why did you waste $$ on a cheap STB if your gonna replace it anyways.

^ that's true...if you're going to replace it anyway, why waste money on it?

for real, any strut bar is the same as anyother, as long as it it doesn't flex

and yes, it's as simple as that- just unscrew your strut nuts, place on top, and then retighten to spec.....and don't raise your car....then your struts will fall out

thanks all. you all have a point on the price tag logic. actually, got it on e-bay. the TRD authentic at their website i believe is priced around $140.00 to $160.00. i have not received the one yet from e-bay seller. once i get it i will see the quality. i paid $26.00. so if it really sucks my loss is not that bad. i notice i get some sway on turns at 60 mph to 70 mph. and i do agree that i will also need to really hook up the rear sway bar (undercarriage sways bars, both front and back) in the future. really appreciate your kind assistance and support. except for mr. johnson who seems to have a penal fetish. lol.
