Go to all 4 doors and wiggle the light switch that is enclosed in the rubber boot on the door jam. Sometimes these switches get stuck if a door has not been opened in a few days. Happens esp. in cold weather.
ITSEL33 your problem is a fuse. The fuse location for dome lights are on the left side on the bottom near your feet. I had a problem similar but mine was that my cig lighter output wasnt working and it was located in the same area.

There is a change pocket on the left hand side of the dash near your left knee. There are fuses behind this change pocket also. Just pull the pocket out and you will see them.

I checked the fuse box on the driver side by our lt. knee and there was nothing on the chart for the interior light. I do not have a manual so I do not know where else to look. any suggestions?
Well I checked all the fuses and they were all good. I checked to see if there is power coming the the light and there is no power coming to the light. I also checked the trunk light and it is working. Any suggestions on how to get the dome light working?
Does the open door light in the instrument panel come on?
Sounds like a broken or disconected wire. I know it sounds silly but did you open all the doors at the same time and wiggle the switches? If its not them and not a fuse then the only thing left is bad wires.
The trunk light works off a different switch and circuit so it is not related to the interior dome light.
You can try pulling the switches out of the door to see if you ahve power there. You could have a bad wire at the switch or maybe one of the switches is bad

do what everybody else says about checking hte switches
and if your radio and cigarette lighter works, then the dome light fuse is fine, since they actually run off the same one....I still remember from when I kept on blowing a fuse while installing my hu back in the day....my light would just suddenly go off
