4th Generation Brakes

My parking brake light will not go off on my toyota 01 camry. Has this happened to anyone and what can I do to fix it.

Check the brake fluid level. If it's really low, you may have gotten air into the lines which will require bleeding if you have a different brake pedal fee.

Yup. check the bake fluid level. The reservoir is on the driver side near the fire wall.

The most common cause for it to come on other than the parking brake engaged is low brake fluid level.

I think you meant to say the reservoir is on the passenger side near the fire wall.

It was the brake fluid. Filled it and the light when off.

well if u don't have a leak, then your brakepads could be low. And replacing them will bring back fluid to the normal level, but since u added fluid wach out for it coming out when u replace brakepads
