Gen5 Camry Rotors... difference?

is there a difference between LE, SE, and XLE rotors? (assuming that all rims are of different sizes...14", 15" and 16")

I only ask b/c i'm looking for slotted disc rotors and the one's listed on e-bay state they can only work w/ LE, 14" and 15"

I think all models have the same rotors, im pretty sure about that. The only diffrense from a Camry LE to a SE/XLE is that the SE and XLE have rear disc braking.

give a link to that ebay slotted rotor

Don't waste your money on slotted or drilled, there is not performance increase.

Search this forum and you will see a ton of threads on the subject.

Buy yourself a good quality aftermarket blank and some quality pads and your braking performance will be fine.

Many people here like Brembo rotors and they are good, I think they are a bit overpriced. I prefer Raybestos PG plus series.

If you really want to spend the money and get "better rotors", get rotors that are cryogenically treated

Gen5

Ebay link

the post clearly states.... "1998 - 2003 Toyota Camry (exc. SE, XLE: specify 4 or 6 cylinder and 14" or 15" wheels)"

I'm not looking to get a performance increase. i just need to replace my stock rotors. they've been making this weird "clunking noise" ever since i got them resurfaced. Let me state for the record.. it wasn't my idea to do that.... and since then, breaking is not as good as when i first received the car.

Yeah, i dont really care much about the performance i just like the way they look, they look nice. I found some for the SE/XLE and i also asked if they were any good but did not get an answer, here check them out:

That clunking sound might not be the rotors. jack up the car and remove the wheel and make sure caliper mounting bolts are properly torqued and are present. there should be at least three bolts to check.. I had bonehead replace my pads on my previa and a week later i get a clunking sound and found out that the bolt that held the caliper with the assembly worked its self loose and fell out, causing the caliper to pivot and hit the inside of the rim.
do a visual first to save money.
