Unhappy AC Problem

Hi, I wonder anybody can help me!

I bought a 1988 2L camry lastweek. It's AC doesn't work.

Gas seems okey. Cluch (or the fan) does not engage. The relay in the engine bay works and when directly give supply the cluch and the fan works.
The light in the AC button also lights up. There seesms to be something, a fuse or a relay between the AC switch and the relay in the engine bay.

Can anybody help me?

Try jumping the wires to the low pressure switch. If the compressor kicks on then it is low on freon. Is it R-12 If so you will have to have a licensed AC shop fix it up for you. You might be able to convert to 134a also.
