Pin strips on my Camrys

I just purchased two Camrys 3.5 and 4.5.. both had those pin strips on the sides that I CANNOT stand !!!

Anyway, it took me a whole day to take them off of both cars.

There was quiet a bit of residue left over and I tried every thing at AUTO ZONE but nothing cleaned it so I used GASOLINE which cleaned up the sticker residue immediately.... Is Gasoline bad for paint? My paint seems to be ok though...

My 3.5 was a bit old so the paint under the pin stripe is a little different but it is a light color car so not very visible.

Should be just fine. You should atleast wax it. claybar or polish it so the paint under the pin stripe will match. also, were there any scratches under the stripe, i read somewhere on this forum that there might be.

Are you talking about a fine line/scratch that the manufacturer uses to put the strip on. I have seen that on a few cars. They put it on to make applying the stripe easier.

Waht did you use to remove the stripe? Hairdryer, heat gun, ?????? Oops, and Goo Be gone and a fine rag will remove the residue also. I followed behind with a soft rag with car soap on it.
