goodyear tires

My Goodyear Integrity tires are past their prime, with some 60k+ miles on them. Was going to get another set, but Goodyear introduced a new tire. The Assurance (two versions, the Comforttread and TripleTread) are the latest all season passenger tires from Goodyear. They are rated very highly from the survey people at the Tire Rack. The Integrity tires were rated as some of the poorest in class, but I have been lucky with them. Any Camry owners with any experience with these tires size 195 70-14

I put a set of Tripletreds on my g/f's 05 Accord LXSE coupe. Overall a great tire so far. No snow yet, so no reviews on that. Reviewed highly by Consumer Reports. Actually both the Comfortred and the Tripletred.

If you plan to goto Discount Tire to price some, goto http://www.treadepot.com and print out their price. They have free shipping, so print that out also. The Discount Tire I went to price matched that no problem. You just missed out on the $50 rebate offered by Discount Tire, and the $50 gas card offered by Goodyear. Goodyear is having a sale right now, although I don't know which tires are on sale.

BTW, if you run hubcaps, these have a tendency to pop them off with their rim protector lip.

I have never had a set of Goodyear's on my car. But I know that the Toyo makes an awesome tire. I had bridgestones on my Legend and they were awesome. But the Proxies are a high performance tire but you get plenty of wear out of them.

I put a set of the Comforttreds on my Camry back in May. I'm pretty happy with them- they're quiet, handle well for a non-performance tire, and have good grip. I haven't tested them in snow yet, so I don't know about that- (my last set of Aquatred 3s handled pretty well in the snow and Comforttreads replaced Aquatreds)

My only complaint is that my Comforttreads are only about 6 months old, and they look really bad. They don't shine at all, in fact they look like they've been on an abandoned car for years. They also developed kind of a orangeish/rustish tint to them... kind of annoying considering how much they cost.

If your car came with "H" speed rated tires and you want to stay with that rating, I would recommend the Dunlop Sport A2's. I have them on both my 94 and 98 Camrys in the 195-70 R14 size. Really decent tire at a very good price. Does pretty well in the snow for an "H" speed rated tire. I have found them better than the Michelin MXV4's I previously had on the 98, at about half the price. IMHO.

Tires

I wouldnt put on Goodyears if they gave it away for free. I have had all different types of tires, Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Yokohama on various cars over the years. The 1 tire that I have and will always have on ALL my cars is the Yokohama Avid H4s. They are great year round, priced well and have a great treadwear rating. We have them on a 95 V6 XLS Avalon, 96 I4 LE Camry, 00 I4 LE Camry and my 99 V6 SC LE Camry in 18". I cannot wait until my 16" Michelin winter tires wear out to replace them with the Yokohama. When my wife gets new tires for her 00 EX Civic these are the ones I'm going to put on. Check it on tirerack.com to see what other people say. I cannot speak highly enough for them. For those with 18s mine came with a 60k treadwear warranty on a 225/40 18 and you all know how difficult if not near impossible it is to find our size with a warranty. Jon.

i have regatta II (goodyear) and they are nice and quiet.. good on wet conditions too as I have done 80mph during a storm when it was new and it did not hydroplane. *not suggested that u do that..
reliable tires too. would put good year on my 93 camry. passenger tires. I bought it in 2001 and i have like 50-60k miles and it looks like i have 20-30k left on the tires. Seldom spin the wheels

current running michellins MVX 4plus or something along the same line on my gen 4.5. 215/60/16. good tires but a but noisy as those are semi-performance tires.
