Parking Brake Troubles

Long story short my car was ran about 3-4 miles with my parking brake engaged. More than likely my car was driven around 60 miles an hour. The brakes were said to be "smoking" but I'm not sure if it was the back or the front that was smoking. Now my parking brake feels really weak. When I shift into gear with the p-brake engaged it'll move forward like.

Anyway, my parking brake is apart of my drum brakes right? My p-brake handle feels really loose, too, like it can wiggle back and forth. Is there any way to adjust my parking brake to "tighten" it back up? What parts can I change out to make my parking brake system like new again?

I used to do this with my integra because my brake light never worked. It shouldn't really be a problem. You may have scorched your pads by driving so fast and for such a long period of time on them while they were engaged so you may need new ones for the original feel you had before. But for a quick fix i'm sure you could tighten them back up. I'm not sure of the actual procedure on this car but I will look it up for you.

Pull your rear wheels and check the shoes and drums. If they were really smoking you may need to replace both but unless the shoes look and feel good, I would definitely replace them. They aren't expensive.
