Im looking for more ideas on how i can get A LOT more noticable hp from the 94 1mz. I have a intake, and exhaust... but i'm still not getting noticable acceleration, and torque pull out of my car. I've done the quicker throttle response diy, and some other various things to increase acceleration. Is there any mods i could do to the engine minus the turbo / sc / nitrous, i'm looking for base ENGINE horsepower nothing tooo high in price such as those.
If you could help me out with pricing ( estimate ) or just ideas, and i'll find prices. Thanks!
unless you are willing to spend a few more hundred or take the heads off then no. You could look at some fuel management like an SAFC and get it tuned, that may get you where you want to be but its a few hundred and you need to get it dyno tuned.

im in the market for a few hundred like 100-800$ but when it gets up into the k's is when i start freaking... so the only thing i can think about bigger headers is custom... b/c looking for headers for a gen3 1mz is hard as sh!t. But im in the market for 100-800 like i siad... whats some engine managment i could do with that to get higher horsepower that is REALLY noticable.
Good luck looking, I ahve been doing the same thing and there are not an inexpensive mods you can really make to the 1MZ to get large HP increases. It is jsut not an engine in a vehicle taht there is a big call for aftermarket support. SO when there are aftermarket parts they are going to be more expensive to help cover the cost of R&d and manufacturing.
If they would have put the engine in some other vehicles that were more sporty ie; Celica, MR2 type vehicle, or baby Supra there would probably be more aftermarket support for it.

i've got the 1MZ too......darn it's hard to make HP with little mods. i was just thinking about getting a supercharger or engine swap when my engine has 200,000 miles on it. lol.

Vehicle specific... meaning no additions required? Well.. does it give the same results in hp difference as the others? Or less because of specific vehicle comps.
get a headjob and hipo cams.
and some management.. emanage ultimate or something.
2-3 grand if you dont do it yourself

vehicle specific means the computer to control the shots latches on your 02 sensor, AF sensor, crank position and plugs......it'll shut itself off in the event of a lean burn. same result as another dry kit of comparable size/ shot
Wow , thats pretty smart... kudos to venom... i was just thinking how good is the 1mz.. i mean could i put a cheaper engine in that has cheaper horsepower mods and get more out of it? or should i stay with the 1mz and just rebuild it... what i'm saying is is the performance worth the money?
