Fill 'er up!

When I got my 2006 Camry, it was supposed to have come with a full tank of gas.
Does the dealer actually put in the full 18.5 gallons?
If not, how much are they supposed to put in?

when I worked a thte toyota dealer in service we gave every new customer 3 dollars worth of gas. Of course this was in the mid to late 90's and gas was much less expensive.

The used car dealer I recently worked at in sales we made sure the car had somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank. IF it didnt we would give a 10 dollar gift card to the sams right down the street and they could get their own.

As fara show much the dealer puts in it, they are not required to put any in it probably. Not a state law or anything liek that. IF they do it is going to be out of the goodness of their heart for you letting them jsut drag you over the coals for the last few hours.

Sales guy filled mine up right before delivery. It does state on the sticker "FULL TANK OF GAS" like that is a big selling point. I think I'd rather have filled the gas myself so I knew what kind of gas was being put in there!

Is this per TOyota or is it something that is left up to individual dealers.

How much did it have when you got it? If you are not satisfied you should talk to the dealer.
