weird request.
but important to me as i keep crap in the compartment all the time
and i would prefer it was covered. i have a 2003 Camry SE, and i essentially
have a big hole for storage right under the HVAC controls. the newer
camrys (2004-2006) included a little door that covers everything.

now, some have one door, some have two....(one for the ashtray and lighter,
the other for storage. if i were to go to the dealer to order this part.
what would i ask for specifically and how do i know if i am getting one door
or two?

Looks like you would have to order the entire center console under the HVAC controls from the pictures. If you go to the dealer and talk to the parts guys they should be able to pull it up on the computer or fiche and tell you exactly what it is called and part numbers and all. Just tell them what it is you are looking for and they should be able to hook you up. As long as everything will fit when changine it over to the newer style. if you buy it make sure you can return it jsut in case you get in there and it wont work.

Yeah, its been discussed before. It will not fit. You would need to change the entire center console.

true the whole centre console needs to be swapped, i checked that out a while back for my tv mounting

Guess what? I order the parts for my Gen 5 Camry, and it still didn't fit!!

i just thought that it totally would fit as the parts seems so alike even when you take it apart.

pardon my ignorance...what do your guys mean when you say the "WHOLE CENTRE CONSOLE"?

you mean from the storage bin, to the cup holders?

id think you just replace that area (ciggerette Lighter, Ashtray, etc) Seems like it would fit, cause i have a Gen5 and a freind has a 5.5 and they are identical in fitment.

My 03 LE looks different from your pocket tho, mine has a VIP Security light and a spare knock out. I currently have my satilite radio in there fits perfect...

Soon im planing to put a Moniter in there for my carputer. Gonna fiberglass it in
