3rd Generation Cruise control Problem

Hey guys, I had some major work done to my 92' v6 camry this past summer. I blew the engine this summer going to Charleston, SC from Greenville. I cracked the block, antifreeze container was boiling, that sort of thing. Anyway, My mechanic replaced the old engine with a 93' engine and the cruise worked for about a month then it cut off on me. I'm not much of a mechanic myself so I just need some tips if anyones got any. OH and also with this new engine, it sounds deeper and louder with alittle more vibration in the steering wheel. Help me out...

First off check your fuses. Then also make sure your brake lights are working. The cruise will not work if the brake light switch attached tot he brake pedal is bad. If none of your lights work then this is a good place to start. IT doesnt sound like it is anything to do with the engine installation since you said it was working and thenquit.

fuses should be located behind the change pocket to the left of the steering column or under the hood next to the air cleaner box and battery.
