picking the new car

right now i have a little dilemma, my dad wants to get a new car and he's thinking either the new maxima V6 or the new camry. btw i'm in Australia so i'm trying to get him to buy the Sportivo...however he likes the power of the maxima...is there anyway of me getting the cam up to the same power of the maxima so that he'll buy it and let me work on it?

what can i do? i want the CAMRY!

what do you ppl think we should get?

I think the Maxima is about to be re-designed. If you can wait, get the new Max. The Maxima offers more pwr but you give up some quality (arguable). I'd say get the Maxima.

I almost bought a Maxima. Nice cars, quite powerful too... Too bad the dealer left the e-brake jacked as he drove it off the lot, smoke pouring from the rear wheels............

But I like my Cam. It's the whole "unique fixed up car" look I'm going for.

Plus, I'd be an outcast from the Toyota community

If i had the choice TODAY, it will be the camry, just because the maxima is getting a total redesign for the '04 year. If it wasnt, i would get the 03 SE 6spd..

well the maxima is nice with 245 hp...but the camry se is just ridiculus as to how sweet the interior inside. its up to you...i think ive heard peeps talking about a trd supercharger being made for the gen5 v6's. tell your dad that.

i'd say go for the Maxima. its an overall better car in my opinion. but don't go to the maxima forum and ask them which car to buy. if you compared what's faster between a Dodge Viper and a Maxima, you'll be quite surprised, i'm sure someone will quickly say "well, you can save up some money and mod the Maxima to be much faster than the Viper, so i'll say go with the Maxima."

test drive both cars and it should really help you make up ur mind about it.
