my mom's 1995 automatic camry v6 le has been running with a check engine light for quite awhile now.

im a total noob when it comes to toyota. is it possible i could use a jumper to read the CEL? since the camry is a 95, it should be pre obdII, right? and also, could you guys point me to links to readout the CEL it throws? it would be much appreciated, thx n advance.

nope your OBDI jumping wount work, the 1mz engine is pure OBDII, since 1994 only the 5s had OBDI, you need to take it somewhere like autozone to get the codes read

then search back here.
