Canada is your car noisy?

i drive a 2003 camry..is it just me...or do you find your ride noisy?
i was on the highway late tonight and i was driving at about 140-150km/h.
the wind was blowing kinda strong but not enough to make my car sway...in any case..
i hear a shit load of wind noise, expecially coming from the driver side door...
i am exagerating, but felt like my door was not closed shut and the wind noise was crazy!

i guess sound dampening is the only thing i can turn to huh? know any places in the GTA that will do it?

mines noisy...but not because of exterior noise like what ur dealing with.....i have 2.5" exhaust plus aeroturbine muffler with NO resonator...yet...so mines extremely noisy and everyone around me knows that. If i really get on teh gas it actually has, from what i can tell, a gun fire effect...the y-pipe is so small on the v-6's gen 3 directly going into the 2.5" which rapidly expands the air, add that to the suction created in the process it has and you get an even louder than normal engine, especially in the cabin unfortunately

IF you have not gone over the 36months 36,000 mile warranty period you can take it to the dealer and have them repair it.

From experience when you drive in windy conditions the amount of wind noise you hear may be exagerated.

When I was at Toyota we ahd a machine we would put in the car that emitted a high pitched noise and then we would go around the car with a microphone with headphones and you could find the source of wind noise. LIke I said if you think there is somethingwrong with it take it back to the dealer and let them look at it.

well I worked for a dealer as a tech from 95-98 adn we used to sue it all the time. I would imagine it has getten better now. The tool was extremely easy to use. It was just a box with a switch to turn it on adn the microphone and headphones. Looked sorta like the ones you used when you were in elemetary school. It was pretty good at helping diagnose wind noise problems.

You would be surprised the amount of money the dealers have invested in special tools that Toyota has for diagnosing different problems. Everything from wind noise to NVH problems. Then all the specail tools that are not used on a regualr basis but the dealer has for the techs to use when they have certain repairs to be made. SOme of them are so costly the techs can not purchaase them to use only once or twice in a year.
