3rd Generation damn knock sensor codes

ive had both knock sensor codes (5-5-5 and 5-5-3?) now for months....one actually read 0 ohms so i figured that one was the good one on my 3vzfe...even though both are BRAND NEW $$$$$ , i tried the bridging shortcut thing but it didnt work as anticipated...for reasons unclear to me. I figure since the ECU looks for no or very miniscule resistance i can just say screw the knock sensors for now and simply disconnect them and attatch a wire from one input to the other on the ECU...everything tells me this should work, im kinda scared though not having knocks even temporarily since the engine has been worked quite a bit, im also scared of losing my auto tranny if i do this...they're strong but when you can pack an xtra 50-60HP on stock tranny with 210000 miles on it i get kind of worried. think this will work? im not very familiar with how this particular ecu works but in theory it should. Think i should NOT do it for the tranny's sake and the remote possibility something could go wrong w/o those troublesome and overly sensitive but useful knocks?

if you have 0 ohms on your sensor, it is shorted. A sensor has a resistor wire in it. 2 terminals means the wire leads from one terminal to the other. If you are checking ohms accross the sensor and get 0, then the sensor is internally shorted. just like when a car blows a fuse, current is going straight to ground before any load and there is no resistance in that path causing the amps to increase thus blowing the fuse. same thing is happening in that sensor. Even new sensors can be bad, it needs to be replaced. Now if it had an open circuit in the sensor, you would read infinite ohms.

Question for ya,

On your knock sensor wires that are on the front of the engine right beside the AC pump there is a connector, can you tell me what that connects to? The connector has a black/yellow and brown wire coming out of it.

For some reason the previous owner of the car I bought unplugged it, and now it is just dangling there throwing off codes. I assume it plugs into the harness somewhere, but I have searched and searched to find it..... Nothing!

Please help!
