Gen5 Sportivo Muffler Installed

i finally got my Sportivo Muffler installed on my car

the sound is very nice, not overly loud, but loud enough to notice it is there.
pretty much just how i wanted it

you start to hear the sound loudly from the inside at about the 2500-3000rpm range...
which is a bit annoying, since thats what my normal acceleration range is...
it is a loudish humming noise, but its not too bad, i can definately live with that
it is definately quieter than some of those cannon type mufflers though.

i recorded a sound clip, not all that great, due to the limited capability of my digital camera...
http://www.geocities.com/terrynham/sportivomuffler.mov

overall im fairly pleased with it

lol, nah thats alright about the swaybar

anyway, i got the muffler from Southside Toyota in Brisbane (Australia), a friend of mine on another forum told me that this dealership was having a sale on one muffler.
this was because the muffler had been sitting on their shelf for a long time and nobody bought it
the Sportivo Muffler wasnt overly popular in Australia, so thats probably why.

so in order to clear their stock, they sold it for cheap
they only had one avaliable i think...

i bought it for AU$71.50 (RRP AU$363.00)
got it installed for $50, and still a fantastic deal

i spoke to my local dealership, and they said Toyota isnt making these anymore...
only about 20 left in Australia apparently...

i dont know...Southside Toyota had it in stock at their dealership so thats why they cleared it for so cheap

if they didnt have stock, and had to order it in, i doubt they would have done it for so cheap...
but no harm in giving them a call to ask

yep thats exactly it

it looks very similar to the stock muffler, except the tip is bigger and is chrome.
inside, it is a 'free flowing' design, the tubing goes straight through, looking down the exhaust pipe confirmed this
