Fabric seat coversion to leather: Need Leather seat reccomendations.
Well,
my next buy is probably going to be New leather seats for my 98" Black Camry. I want to get Custom Black Leather seats with the insert perforated. Below is a Pic of the seat I want. I used this really neat feature that ayarinc.com offers where you can custom make your own leather seats and see how they will EXACTLY look like online. My seats will look like the one below hopefully.
I am planning on painting all my interior Vinyl Black too to match. My exterior is Black already so it'll be nice and stealthy.
Well, through ayarinc.com, my total cost summed up to $1,310 with seats, black leather, perforation, Camry logo on seat, shipping, and installation. But that's really expensive. But they are really professional there. Just website is so professionally done too.
So I'm trying to learn about any more sites or companies who do custom leather seats for cars because none of the Gen 4s that I’ve seen ever had Black leather seats.
ebay custom leather seat covers are remarkably good :P

The ebay synthetic leather seat covers I keep seeing on the USA ebay search with 98 camry as the input for the serach, shows up for $41.99 + 7$7 for shipping. Its not the real deal. Just some covers over the standard seats. they look really cheap thoug. I want something more professional.

i got the eBay leather seats for about $300, but that was over a year ago or so. it took me about 2-3 days just to install them.
once you remove the regular seat covers, things should be pretty straight forward from there. just make sure you have a bunch of tie wraps to get the job done. any leather seat package you buy should come with easy DIY instructions.
btw, installing the headrest was the hardest part! tip: taking out the seats will make things A LOT easier. be ready to remove the sliding braces/brackets under the front seats & don't forget what belongs where.
Anyone know where we can get new ( firmer! ) foam for the Front /Rear seats?
Or am I going to have to buy foam in bulk and do it from scratch?
Thanks..
do it form scratch or get a car upholsterer to sew some on. make it like a bucket seat
