Brake Fluid in Power Steering Resevior

I think I accidentally added brake fluid in my power steering resevior. It was dark and I wasn't careful reading the label.

What can happen to the Power Steering system if I leave the brake fluid in there?
It has been in the system for about 3 months and no changes in operation.
About 6 oz. was added of Dot 3 Albany Brake Fluid.

4 cylinder engine

As a bonus...
I changed my brakes and Auto Zone always insist on giving me the wrong brake pads. Were the newer 2000 Camry's brake pads changed to the larger pads?

I would drain it! Bake fluid can swell your seals and deteroiate any thing that is not designed for it.
Would have been better to take it out 3 months ago!

Thanks for the reply.
I just realized it today since I rarely take a look under the hood. This Camry has given me NO problems until my water pump gave out at 113,000 miles after I got it at 52K.

I have seen others post how to drain the Power Steering fluid but how do YOU suggest that I go about it?

Thanks in advanced.

For year 2000, there are two different size brake pads on the front depending on the car. Models that came with 14" wheels stock, the brakes are smaller. Those with 15" wheels stock had larger brake pads. They have the same brake pads at the V6 model I believe. The rear drums should be the same.

I've never tried to change the power steering fluid before, but there's a tutorial on this site with pictures and all. The power steering uses Dexron III Automatic Transmission Fluid. Go to the Camry FAQ and there is a link to a guide to change power steering fluid, photos and all.
