Oh damn that's ghetto! Using dryer ducting for the WHOLE intake! I've used dryer ducting before, but it was connected to a filter to ram the air in....
Although the main point of the CAI is to suck in cold air, another thing is that the air flows smoother with a CAI. That will just cause a ton of turbulence due to all the ridges in there.
turbuletn air mixes and atomises better with fuel.

Exactly... What do you think all the fuss is about when people want mandrel bent this and that? Smoother air flow... Youre actually going to lose power with that shit. Better off putting your short ram back on.
not trying to argue but its probably not much of a worry with intake vacuum and MAP (metering current volume (already in the intake) of air verses air flow density).
im moving my AFM as close to the TB as i can... makes it much much more accurate.. on cars that used to have looong intakes to teh afm this helps quite a bit.

hmmmm nobody wants a ghetto looking this and that........i think that's why....it looks smooth and if it does add a little performance.....i think the dry ducting sounds like a good idea. ^^ better than short ram =/

dont have a short ram.. and I have some piping on the way for my CAI. I did this so I could gut my intake and get all the room I need and also see what I needed to do for when I got my CAI. Not to mention, dont have my short ram anymore
