Alarm question, how to link hornet 2way remote to module?

I'm about to install a hornet 564T alarm system in my Gen4 (mostly for the nice long range remote start features) and I've found some cheap ($<30) spare LCD remotes for the unit. (normally they're over $100) The problem with the cheap ones off Ebay is that they don't have instructions for linking them to the main unit. The instructions for the unit itself talk about linking simple remotes to it, not the whiz-bang LCD one.
Has anyone linked one of these remotes to the module, or have a URL to such instructions?
(googling only gets me lots of folk wanting to sell me a new expensive remote)
