4th Generation Thermostat Change?

Who has done a thermostat change in a V6 Gen 4 and how hard is it? Any pointers?

should be the same as a Gen3 and it is not that bad. Jsut drain the coolant first and the thermostat housing is jsut above the A/C compressor. two or three nuts holding it on and you are good to go. THere may be another one that secures it to a bracket if I rememebr right but it is 11pm and dark here so I can not go check.

and don't forget to ask for a new thermostat gasket with your thermostat, or else you will make another trip to the dealer. I changed out the hose while I was in there.

Well, to tell you all the truth, the thermostat housing is located on the other side of the engine....the drivers side. The lower radiator hose connects to a pipe, then the pipe to the thermostat housing...but thanks for the help anyway. Yea, I bought a gasket.....freeking rip my nuts off buying it at the dealership....$7 and change for a freeking gasket and $15 for the thermostat...much better than I expected because on my Legend it was $50 including a gasket for the thermostat, hmmmm talking about ripping nuts off?
