2nd Generation

There aren't any coilover applications for the Gen2 Camry.

Your only aftermarket alternative would be the Intrax springs.

With this being said, I would strongly suggest that you replace those cut springs as soon as you can.
Cutting springs reduces the load capacity of the spring.

Depending on how much is cut, a spring with a load capacity of 800 (hypothetically) can be reduced to as much as 400-500; which then puts the burden on other major suspension components as well as the chassis.

Intrax springs and Tokico struts appear to be the best combination.
You can also use KYB GR-2 struts as well.

Good luck...

2nd Generation

thanks for the reply, yeah im gonna get intrax soon. at the time i just cut them cause i was bored haha. but then the thing im worried about is, my friend has a 1989 acura legend, and he got intrax lowering springs, and tokico struts, but they blew out like a week or so later. so i was worried that it might also happen to my camry. i made a thread asking before, but i only got one reply. has anyone blown theres? also what are the stiffes springs out there for a gen 2 cam?

Never heard anything like that....

I'm only going to guess that your friend's setup wasn't installed correctly....

The Gen2 owners who went with the Intrax springs have had nothing but success with them.

Red face

B&G doesn't make springs for the Gen2 Camry.

Post pics if you install them... I might need a set to raise my car back up... the new motor and tranny is going to make the front end of my car be wayyyy to low.
