Code 52 and knock sensors, how do I test tem??

Can anyone give me some tips on testing the knock sensors? (92 Camry 3VZFE)

So if there is no continuity between any of the contacts in the connector that goes to the sensors, they are both shot.

Can they be wrecked by having a bad rod bearing?

If the 3vz has been taken care of the bottom end will last for a very long time, knock sensors go out with age, mine have lasted this long (92 3vz-fe right about to turn 170k miles) with no trouble, but if they go I wont be too suprised. Id replace both to save on labor, sucks getting in there and replacing on just to leave an old one in there next to it
