hey all, new here with some questions.

I've got a 01 Camry LE (Laugh now, but I've taken out a celica GT and a prelude with exhaust :P)

But I'm looking to dress it up a bit, I'm liking the looks of the factory ground effects, would I be able to pick the pieces up at a auto dismantler?

Also I'm looking at getting some upgraded 15" wheels with lowering springs. Just a subtle effect for my daily driver.

Any one have any tips on where to get these things, as well as being able to put the effects on my self?

That's the ground effects, it's a custom front fascia it looks like, with side trim beneath the door sills, and a rear bumper cover.

I'm lookin for somethin on the cheap for wheels, Trying to keep it in budget, and I'm already looking around at the lowering springs.

for the springs, i'm using intrax. got it off ebay 220 with shipping (1.6 front 1.5 rear)
others perfer drop zone cause it gets u the lowest (dunno how much)

eibach are expensive but is said to be the best
teins are pretty good u can check them off ebay see how much but they don't give u much drop

good rims will run u anywhere from 400 - 1000 for a set of four. can't help you there on where to get them sorry. maybe someone else can get u on that one

ok factory ground effects i see. you can check junk yard. pull it off a wrecked camry if they have the ground effect. i'm not familiar with dismantling shops so can't help much there either
sorry bro

That looks like a newer Camry.. not an '01 model... the model you posted started in '02.

So if you have an '01 you can get a similar lip kit to that.... it's called a "TRD lip kit" and they're not made anymore. You have to get them either off a webboard such as this or ebaymotors.com.

If you go springs go Eibach or Teins. I had Teins on my Camry and loved it... just not enough of a drop. Really none of the Camry spring options lower it enough for me....

Also, rims are getting cheap enough that there isn't really a reason to stay 15" unless that's just what you want. Go either 17" or 18" and you'll be much happier. A good set of 17" with some decent tires runs around 700-900 shipped... and a good set of 18" should run you 900-1200 shipped.

Yeah, the problem now is trying to find the right color for my ground effects lol.

The Drop Zone are a little to much for what i'm doing with the car, I just want to give it a better stance on the fifteen inch wheels and dress it up a little bit, I'm not trying to make it a show car.

Also does any one know how easy it is to swap out the older camry headlights for the newer projector style? It looks like it's a direct swap but you never know what could be lurking.

Then I'm probably mistaken BigBody, it's that same body style.

So maybe an '02.

Have you thought about puttin air bags in your camry? The new firestone air bags not only drop the car but improve the handling.

tein/tokico or eibach/tokico for your subtle drop.

ground effects, gotta search, try ebay for the OEM look.

wheels - there is an offset/wheel show off at the top of the camry forum

A LOT... can be gotten from ebay (suspension is cheap on ebay) but www.tirerack.com too!
