3rd Generation how do i pull off the spark plug wires?

Im changing my spark plugs for my 96 I4 but i cannot disconnect the spark plug wires from the Valve cover.How do i disconnect them i tried pulling and twisting and they r not coming off please help guys.

spark plugs should come right off with the spark plug socket, just put it down in there, twist it off, and once it's twisted off, pull it right up, it should be in the socket

im talking about the actual wires how do i get them to come off?The spark plug i can do its the Spark plug wires that i cannot pull off.

They can be tricky to get off, but you just have to use some muscle.
Just remember to not pull the wire itself but the rubber knob on the end
of the plug wires, just pull straight upwards

im trying to pull it straight off but its to tight.My Dad tried doing it also and he couldnt pull them out.ANy other tips u can give me?
