Generation

How do you know what generation your Camry is? I have a 2000 with a 3L-V6.

83-86 = Gen 1
87-89 = Gen 2
90-91 = Gen 2.5
92-94 = Gen 3
95-96 = Gen 3.5
97-99 = Gen 4
00-01 = Gen 4.5
02-04 = Gen 5
05-06 = Gen 5.5
07-?? = Gen 6

There are sometimes some overlap on these, but basically thats right.

Any corrections??

^ Yeah.
As a rough guide, it's pretty accurate though. I know Australia is pretty much like that, North American obviously too.
The overlap is generally 1 year or so. For example, some Gen 2.5's ran into 1992, when the Gen 3 was already being realeased. I have never seen Gen 3's run into a Gen 4 year though.

Middle-east gen4 started in 1998..i never said thats an acurate depiction...like i said its +/- a year depending on where you are situated...That depictiction was true for n/american camry's.

Jetspeed..... Awesome chart. Just missed one. 85-86 were 1.5 ........ since they had one rectagular light instead of two small ones ! Right?
