i would go with original strut mounts.
kyb makes them too. i was reading on TN that it caused some installation problems
then again, toyota mounts are EXPENSIVE.

I would replace the stopper and mounts at that time. COs if u have a gen 4, those suckers always give way out at 50k or so and start to make noise

boot, it depends on u but it definately helps in keeping dirt out.

dampers.. i heard of it but have no clue

struts are dampers. Dampers "dampen" the response force of springs.

I was wondering the same thing. Like skewe mentioned, I thought I saw someting about KYB mount not being the exact fit. But I am still not sure. Would like to listen to what others have to say.

Sir,

My 1994 needed Struts AND Mounts (233k, why not!!). After inquiring at Sears I learned that strut mounts are all the same (with minor quality differences). I used KYB strut Mounts in back (higher quality and price), then switched to Gabriel for the front (ebay) and I'm very happy with the job. I did it myself and used KYB GR-2's all around. These struts are a definite upgrade over brand new OEM shocks! The KYB bellows and bump-stop (combined into 1 part) is very different than stock, but worked fine.

I hope this info has been useful.
