Gen5 Front Brakes makin funny sounds

When i have to stop quick once and a while from speeds above 40 mph my brakes make a weird noise:

Well the only way i can describe it is a wabbling sound, or a like something rubbing as it wines down.

As it makes this sound i can feel through the brakes the car shuttering at the same intensity as the sound. which leads me to belive i need new brakes and possibly rotors

Maybe once or twice i have slowed down from 90+ to 0 mph for an offramp, but that was cuase i was missin my exit

My car has 30K on it now and progressivly has had a harder time stopping.

Anyway what do you guys think it is?

30K? That seems a little early... I have 65K and I'm going to be changing my pads and resurfacing my rotors for the first time in the life of my car.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

it sounds to me like you rotors are worped. just take them off and take them to i tire shop and have them reserviced. should cost about $20-30 each. if you do the work your self. and when you have the brakes off cheak you pads. should be fine.

rotors could be warped or dust buildup on the underside of the pad or there wasn't any antisieze brake pad grease applied at the connecting points. All three of these can cause that problem.

Best bet is to take the pads off and inspect them, majority of the time it is the rotors though.

Many things can cause rotors to warp. Hammering down while under load, parking on a hill numerous times for long periods with the emergency brake on, hammering down after driving for a long period while the rotor is good and hot.

It is very easy to replace though. Hope the weather permits or you have a garage.
