3rd Generation beginning to feel more and more like i got sold a lemon

so i was crusing down the street going 50km/hr and i let go of the gas then all of a sudden i hear this horrible noise then i realize all my gears have become netural

I was wondering if your tranny dieing (im assuming this is what happened) is common for toyotas (Camrys' in particular) at 150,000km

I drive a 94 V6 which was bought 2 years ago when it was at around 114,000km and since then repair costs are nearing to the amount which i paid my car for (approx $12,000 CAD)
When i bought the car, the salesman showed me all these papers of the previous owner bringing the car to the stealership for regular maintenance but nothing compares to the stuff that is occuring to my car in less then 2 years

So what do you think guys? Did stealership rip me off? Or are camrys supposed to have this many problems?

It should never happen with proper care. I do have Camry V6 LE 1992. I've got it 4 years ago at 260k, now it showing 418 k. I'm having some problem with tranny (overheating) only when I'm going to mountains (steep accent from desert to about 1.5 - 3km altitude when car staffed with hiking gear and people).

i have a 94 v6 and the trans is going out but that is becouse i have driven it hard. and i got 216,000MPH on it.
i would take it in and have the trany flushed and serviced. but make them look at the pan and filter for dabree. signs of the trans dieing.

So you're saying that even though it sounded like my tranny died, it can be saved with a simple flush and servicing?

Well thats the thiing i found weird about my tranny dieing too..cause i dont drive it hard and i always thought that when i brought it into the stealership to service, they would notice signs of the tranny dieing

Yea I woulda thought my tranny would have that kind of symptoms before giving out like that
But nothing at all! It was smooth shifting all 3 gears

Still waiting to see what the stealership finds wrong with the car

good luck. the reason i said get it flushed is some times debre can clog one of the fluid ports. with will not let it run right. flushing it and looking to see if anything is in there is cheaper than going in and having it looked at. its a good idea to have it done at 150,000 anyways
