Canada tinting

so, my girlfriend's family is picking up their IS250 AWD tonight and they want to tint it this weekend. i called a couple of places and the general price is sitting in between 260-280 for both my camry and their IS. any good places that do good lifetime warranty tint in the GTA/richmondhill area? and how much?

I can't speak to your area, but I've been *very* pleased with Ziebart's tinting. I had my '98 Camry done there, and my '00 Sienna a couple of years later, and just a couple of weeks ago my new '05 Camry. I get 32% on the front sides, and 22% on the back sides and rear window. Don't be tempted to go darker if you ever drive outside the city lights at night.

22% on the front sides might attract unwanted law-enforcement attention, so I don't recommend that.

They have two grades, the higher of which has a lifetime guarantee. After 8 years, I had nary a glitch on the '98 Camry (damn deer!) and the Sienna is still in pristine shape too. And I've had kids grow up in these things.

Brad.

thanks....ok

so the guy at Thornhill tints is awesome.
my girl's IS250 looks great with 35% all around since the car is black with black interior.
just wondering what people suggest in terms of what percentage. i have a silver camry with black interior...and i think 35% might be too dark..what do you guys thinK?

35% all around should be good

when I look back, I wish that I tinted my windows a bit darker....but by the same token, I've never had cop problems with my tint either, and don't ever suspect that I will

yeah 20% would've been good with my black car/interior. But 35% is good too. it's really dark from the outside at night but in the sunlight you can see right through.

^ they were talking about his on torontoaccords too....

but there are 2 things to worry about tho:
- when the thief can't get in, they may get mad and just trash your car instead
- in case of an accident, you won't be able to kick your window out

that Ace protection is cool!
wonder how it works..i mean..it's just film.
reminds me of one of the bond videos where
people try to smash the car with sledge hammers
and can't get in because it bounces right off!

Anyone have any trouble with the law due to dark tint though? what's the ticket like?
