running higher wattage
hi folks, small and somewhat noobish question but i still want to be helped.
anyways, i picked up some nokya's for my hi-beams. 9005 bulb as needed. but they're rated to run at 80 watts, that's 15 watts more than stock oem wattage for hi beams. my question is that how big of a risk am i taking by running these bulbs? i know that going over the wattage by like 50 or so watts burns the harness like crazy (buddy put 140 or so watt lo-beams into his sentra and it killed his harnesses).
but seriously, is 15 watts over the oem really that bad or no? thanks!
