Gen5 "Err1"

Ok, in my mothers 2002 camry, we have thousands of problems with it.

Such as:

`Rear ended (rear bumper, right tailight, LE missing, trunk won't close, hubcap missing.)
`Front (Right headlight coming out, scratched, front bumper pushed) all from being rear ended
`Sunvisor missing
`We just got it out of the shop, and the engine light is on again
`Rear speaker busted again after I replaced it not to long ago
`Noisy vibrations
`Rear tailights (parking) bulbs burned out
~and now~ CD PLayers saying "ERR 1" i dont know why it said that. It was playing fine last night. This morning, it was all scratchy and disordery. The only reasons for this occasion that I can think of are that it was 35F this morning, I left it the CD player all night, it just did not feel like playing (i totally doubt that)

What do you think is wrong?
What does "ERR 1" mean?
WHY DO WE HAVE TO LIVE THROUGH THIS!!!?!!!

it says in my manual book.

"Err1" - Loaded disc is dirty or improperly inserted. Check disc and try again.

"Err2" - No magazine in changer. Insert magazine in changer.

"Err3" - CD player problem, cannot play. Eject the disc and try again.

"Err4" - Over-current, cannot play. Eject the disc and try again.

There you go

I know that on some cars if you hold the Eject button for like 8 seonds, it will do a force eject and force reset.

Accidents sucks...

Sorry to hear about your plight... I had a car rear end my 2002 Camry LE, and although the exterior damage wasn't too bad, the car was never the same - more noisy, more vibrations, more rattles. I guess metal is like paper... once you bend it, and then bend it back, it's never like the original.

My aftermarket CD player doesnt read certain double sided CD's in the cold. The CD has to be warmed up first.
