3rd Generation installed new euro gauges;mph gauge dont work, plus no light on gauges, helpppp

HI everyone,i posted a while ago, about how hard it would be to install my euro gauges on my gen 3 camry.i was told it was rather easy bout a 5 out of 10 difficulty.it wasnt hard at all.i had a step by step diagram and instructions from :
http://rayrayonline.bravehost.com/indiglo4.htm

it helped alot and i did everything it said, got everything on,spliced the green wire with the white stripe and re-installed everything back where it was.i went to turn my lights on and the switch, and NOTHING. and plus my mph gauge doesnt work now.its not snagged on anything cus i made sure it goes around without any problems, before i sealed it back on.what could make it stop working like that.and what could possibly hinder why the lights arent on.i can still see a little green behind the euro gauges.but nothing from the new ones i put in.so what could be the possible causes of the mph gauge not working, and why arent the lights on the euor gauges going on???helpppppppppppp

I did those guages for my car twice and once for burngold on this forum. But never had any problem with it not working. Have you try:

-Make sure ALL the plugs are connected back to the cluster.

-Make sure you DIDN'T take out the needles while installing it.

-Make sure you DIDN'T damage the needles while putting the guages on. (Very delicate)

-Make sure you GROUND the black wire.

-Make sure you CONNECT the red wire to a power source (taillight or headlight fuse in your fuse box, make sure its the right fuse)

-Make sure you DIDN'T leave the guage popping out where the needles are being stuck.

-Make sure ALL wires are connected. (very important, guage wires and cluster plugs)

Last but not least:

-Make sure you turn the knob on the guage controller so that its NOT on dim, turn it on bright.

Further note:

-If all else doesn't seem to work you might have burn a fuse or some kinda electrical problem. Good Luck!

^ what he said .... I used the tail light so they only come on when I turn lights on..

I would be more concerned with the speedo not working though, time to retrack your wiring.

Are you sure all the plugs in the back of the cluster are back in tight?

Oh man...if your indiglos are EXACTLY the same as the guy on the instruction then you should be fine but if you got a normal indiglo like all of us...there should just be two wires one black and one red...black goes to ground and red goes to a power fuse. No splice or wire connectors needed. Maybe you should find a way to contact the that guy on the instructions and retrace it with him...because I have no clue from this point. Good Luck!

One problem I had when I installed my gauges was finding the right wire. To remedy this problem I bought a simple circuit tester to check for current. I found the right wire and everything worked there after. This is the tool I used:

All u have to do is have the red wire stripped of its rubberings about 1cm or so and pull out that fuse that you want it to be in and wrap the wire around the plug-like fuse and then shove it back into the fuse box. Make sure to find a Ground that works...alot of testing, but once you find it your indiglos will light up.

oohhh!!! your speedo prob. should just require you to reconnect the cable(cable inside of sheath) to the back of your cluster, other wise its something inside, or on the front thats not letting it work.

3rd Generation Still Nothingggggggggggg

ok boys, heres the update.i got my speedo to work,i tighten some clips and it works now so thats finished.NOW i tried the wrap the power wire round the tail light fuse.and grounded the black.and i got nothing.i even grounded it on a bolt under the hood just to test if it would work.and still got nothing.i dug up the old instructions that came with the gauges and i was reading it,it sounds like it was typed in french cause its very very confusing.they refer to the gauges as a cold light instrument.and to wire it to the starter of my car.im totally bummed out,i mean it looks dynamite in the day time with the white ,but at night i only see my old green lights coming through my thermostat and gas gauges.so its difficult to watch my speed and the rpms.im just stumped and bummed.if you guys got anymore advice im up for it,thanxx to kamrystylez and the rest of you guys for all your help.
