Clock on the Dashboard doesn't work

Hi,

For my Camry 97, the CLock ( next to the Steering) stopped showing me time. Does anyone know how it can be fixed? May be it needs a battery to be replaced or something...

Thanks

Is that the only thing that does not work? Is there anything else that stopped functioning, like the cigarette lighter or the stereo stopped keeping the presets after engine is shut off. If yes, then there's a burned fuse somewhere.

If no, then you probably need to change the light bulb behind there. I'm not sure how to get to it though. Hopefully someone else can describe the procedure.

yea, first check your fuses, if they are ok then you have some electrical problem. and there is no bulb behind the clock it uses leds.

Well, Cigarette lighter is fine, and Stereo keeps the presets too.

Can someone help me how to fix this one please? I really miss the Time while commuting...

Could be a connector problem. Did you try smacking it ?

Does the dome light work?

This thread has a DIY to take apart the dash. May be helpful if you need to change the bulb.

Sometimes mine fades out completely. I give it a love tap and it reappears, give that a try.

That definitely sounds like a loose or coroded connection somewhere. Try taking the clock out and cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser or some fine sand paper. Applying rosin flux and heating it with a soldering iron might work also but that's much messier.
