hey guys, i was wondering, has anyone ever tried doing this for the gen 3 models?

fitment wouldn't be a problem at all... its the wiring that scaring me. any suggestions or opinions?

I think the push buttons are ugly. But it should be just a plain swap.

Well, i'd have to swap it out of the XLE model (top of the line ) to my LE (the regular equipment model).

not sure what the details are regarding the fresh/recirc air switch since on the top picture, it's a physical link via a metal linkage, not wired.

I have the setup in the top pic in my '94 cam LE. My buddy who has a '92 cam LE has the bottom setup with the buttons.

Direct? I highly doubt it. Like I said, the recirc/fresh air control is a mechanical lever on one and an electrical switch on the other. I bet you can get it to work, but it's not direct.

may be a built in solenoid, or servo....something, you'd have to get both and compare.

If you are able to do it, do a diy. My friend has an LE and it would be a fun project.(if it can be done without too much modification)
I have an XLE, so it's all good over here.

yup i have a 92 LE with those buttons to, along with a whole lot of other options.
