^ yup, that's exactly what he's saying....there may be something wrong with assembly- maybe the negative and positive are crossing or something once you push something in
or you can take it apart and take a look at it...
a couple of years ago, my socket stopped working when I had a heated hooked up to it, so I took it apart and tested the continuity of all the metal pieces, and lo-and-behold, I found a ring that somehow got ionized by drawing too much power through it and it had lost continuity, so I took it out, rigged it so that everything worked without the metal washer and now it's still good to this day.....
I still don't know how that happened....
