4th Generation 2 questions. need to press harder to brake; cai slack

ok so i installed the CAI on my I4 yesterday and..

its the ebay one and it came with a thin long metal peice to bolt the cai onto the frame so the CAI doesn't bounce up and hit ur car commin down when u go over a bump. does anyone know how to do it? i can't seem to find out where the metal peice goes.

also.. after installing the cai, i found that i had to press harder on the brake to stop the car. did i mess something up while trying to intstall CAI?

thanks for ur help

i think you are imaging things unless you seriously fucked with your brakes or something lol.

you dont have to use that braket.. but if you do, attach it to the filter with that clamp that you used and bend it do it connects to a bolt in the engine bay. any bolt will work.

I am not familiar with this CAI unit, but I would check all the vacuum lines leading to the brake booster. If you knocked one of them off durning installation, the booster is not getting the proper vacuum it needs. Also, check them thoroughky for cracks. This would definitely account for the necessity to press harder on the brake pedal.
