Just changed my brakes...

i was getting some grinding from my front driver's side brakes on Friday so this weekend i tackled my own brake change for the first time. front's are easy enough. had to get my rotors resurfaced... $10/rotor at Canadian Tire. just bought some PBR pads (Australian made, i believe) for $25.

but when it came to changing the shoes on my back drums... not so easy. had to get some help from a friend. i thought drums would be easier than discs... guess not. shoes cost me $45.

question:
i know that some of you out there have changed their back drums to discs. just wondering if you can pass along more info about the conversion. parts needed? e-brake differences? complications?

someday... maybe i can get a hold of dem cad plated slotted/drilled rotors and put them on all four corners. 8)

first thing u gotta find ur self a parts car.. a car that has not been dismantled yet then u gotta get everything involving the rear brakes .. i mean every component.. for the camry / ES300 if they have 4 wheel disc most of the time they got ABS too.. so u might wanna look into how that comes into play... good luck ray ray...

thanks SCEPTER300RR...

from what i hear it's pretty simple once i can get all the parts together. i was hoping to maybe squeeze the project in while the weather here is still good...+10 Celsius yesterday... but looking out the window this morning it's snowing. oh well... may have to wait till spring. i'll just do the interior and sound system for now.
