i just got done hooking everything up and got my wideband hooked up and went to start it (with a jumpstart, cause the batt was dead.) and it sounds like this...

anyone heard it before?

i think its due to the low battery, but ive never heard my starter sound like this before, even with a low battery.

Only time I have heard taht is from dead battery. Not enough power to engage. you said you did jump it off and it still did this or this was before you jumped it off.

have you change the battery yet?

how did you jumpstart the car??? do you use those battery pack jumpstarter?

ahh my favorite sound.... That has happened to me so many times, it is SO annoying. Its caused by a dead battery, if youre jumping it and dont give it enough time to juice up a little before you crank it then it will make that noise.

yeah don't worry about it. its ur battary. check ur connections on ur jumper cables. then let it sit for a few seconds before u try to turnover ur engine. then if it still does that, make sure u jump ur car with a STRONGER car... (stronger cars need more battary power to turn over = more power from battary =D )

I'll say dead battery OR dirty connections. Double check all the connections especially where the wire connects to the positive terminal. There is a chance it's the starter also, but it's rare.

Yup yup.. happened to my Solara about a year ago. Battery died, and thats what it sounded like in the morning. Replaced the battery, and it worked fine.

got that noise saturday night. Ironic. It was because it was 5 degrees outside and the battery was dead. Got jumped and relplaced the battery the next morning. No more sound and better bass response to boot!

ok it was from the low battery cause once it was charged it started right up... just tried it.

i will post up some progress within a week.

btw... the clip is VERY small 7 seconds. so either a LOT of people were downloading at the same time or your connection sucks.
