3rd Generation lighting troubles

hey, 95 camry here. i switched out stock bulbs with LED blue to make all interior blue, but i ran into two problems:
1) the HVAC area (ac,levels, areas of air only) is too small for a 74 LED to fit in. its the right bulb, but the LED is too long and idk how to make it fit. i tried sanding it down
2) the cigarette lighter light: i put a red LEd in that one, but the bulb wont fit tightly enough and it wiggles out of place so it wont light up.

anyone knoe how to fix these two problems? also, would incandescent be brighter than LED? b/c i got blue LEDs and they are a bit dimmer than my stock incandescent greens

???

thanks in advance
