Gen5 New Tranny

A female co-worker off mine (about 60 yr old), bought a 2004 Camry LE, sunroof, etc. brand new and has 26,000 miles on it now. It is having a new tranny (auto) put in today, under warranty thank goodness. It already had a recall for some sort of valve replacment with the tranny then 2 days ago it started to now want to shift correctly. She took it in and alas a new tranny install is what they said the answer was..........I have a 2003 Camry LE, with 61,000 and so far the problems have been few. Is anyone else having an issue with things like this....I have read where there are some rack issues, I think I am starting to have one myself.........is Toyota quality slipping this badly or what? This is my first Toyota, previously I was a total Accord man, but I liked the roominess of the Camry better on the Gen 5 .......I am wondering if I will buy a 2nd one or not, if issues like these keep popping up....opinions anyone???

Well my 2003 Toyota Camry LE with 30K on it seems to be a tad more agressive when it shifts, but i think thats normal.

Everything runs fine for me, the only concern i have is when my tires might slip the tranny wont engage until the engine rev's up and then it catches and jerks the whole car forward. and makes a loud bang sound......ususally happens when its wet and i come to a stop but not a complete one and press the gass again.
