Or you can get jsut the mast. However you may ahve to taek the motor assembly apart to get part of the zip-cord that is attached to the mast. Replacing mast takes about 5 minutes. You will need someone to help you though by turning on the radio and turning it on. IF the cord is broken they you have to take the motor apart to get what is left of the cord out then you can replace jsut the mast. At that point you might as well just replace the entire thing unless you dont mind taking it out and apart.

well, since the motor's still good, then either it's just stiff due to lack of lubrication, gears or stripped, or the cord that cyorke mentioned is done for
but chances are that as long as the motor itself is still good, then it's just lack of lubrication- white lithium grease doesn't seem to be able to penetrate the spaces in the mast since it's so tight- it'll just squeeze all the grease out, I've found that WD40 works wonders
mine's 12 years old, and I'm still on the original antenna, and it's been greased by toyota once

Yeah, I just got done replacing the antenna mast on my 96 V6. In Illinois, an antenna mast for a camry at PepBoyz is $16.99. On Ebay, I've seen them going for $12.99.
All you gotta do is:
Unscrew the base of the antenna.
Turn radio on
Slowly pull antenna and belt out.
Slowly insert the new Antenna mast, belt first (teeth facing rear of car), as far down as the belt will go.
Have someone else turn radio off
Press down on the belt, feeding it through the motor as it pulls it down. (sometime you may need to go up and down with the belt as you try to jam it in there...but not to hard that you may break the belt)
Replace the base screw.
That's it.
Worst case scenario, if it becomes necessary to remove the motor, its on the right wall of the trunk and all you need to remove are two bolts and two cable assemblies.

That's exactly the way it was....perfect instructions..Antenna is working fine now
Thanks
