Plugs looking a little old, should I get IX and new wires?

While I was working on the car this week I pulled a plug out of the front bank and it's looking pretty worn.
A couple of questions..
First, are the NGK Iridium IX (BKR6EIX-11) plugs worth it? Has anyone any opinions/reviews of them? Mostly wondering if they last that much better.
Second, should I change the rear plug wires while I've got that part of the engine apart? And what does everyone think of the NGK plug wire sets? (TE65)

Thanks

Sky

BTW, this is a '99 V6
